Near our 2022 Chinese New Year, this client sent an email requesting price for this project. They provided numerous forms and project drawings, which included all the quantities required for this project. And requested to quote based on their provided forms. Since this project was urgent, our sales consultant briefly communicated with our procurement and manufacture manager before submitting the quotation list.
The client's documents were very detailed, likely as they were preparing to place the order with another supplier. However, before the Chinese New Year, they arranged a third-party factory inspection at our facility, even that person was received by our boss, as all the employees had gone home for the holiday. Right after the holiday, their boss visited for another inspection. At the same time, maybe they saw our price was lower, they ultimately chose to work with us.
For this type of Cost-effective light steel square tube structure for school , GB Q235B steel material is sufficient usually. However, this client required GB Q355B steel material to replace USA Standard steel ASTM E415-21, which is not readily available in the market and has to be customized. Since this is a government project, this client conducts on-site sampling and sent it to SGS lab for testing to ensure that we didn`t cheat on the quality. We always guarantee quality and deliver as we promised, with no shortcuts or compromises and never cheat on quality.
After receiving the deposit, our engineering team started doing detailed drawings. They reported the design from client`s architect is very complex, with over 100 joints for one building using only about 5 tons of steel. This significantly increases our production costs, which we hadn't accounted in the initial quote. As a result, we couldn't deliver first 2 containers as agreed in the first batch, but we adjust our production, and in next batches shipments we finished on time.
This client demanded a very tight schedule with a strict timeline for this highly complex project. After confirmed the order, we realized that the initial plan wouldn't allow for on-time delivery. To address this, our boss arranged to purchase a special equipment and enlisted a partner factory for assistance. Since the original galvanizing workshop couldn't meet our capacity, so we selected two more additional suppliers from our backup options. Fortunately, we successfully completed this project .
The words is limited and can't fully showcase the numerous challenges that we faced during this project. Thankfully, we tackled each issue proactively and resolved them. Although this project ended up losing money, we honored the contract and built trust with this client, which is the cornerstone of our Longer cooperation. This client was very satisfied with our cooperation and sent us project feedback pic.
